    Hi everyone,

    As many of you know, Update v 0.5.0 went live yesterday! While this went down well without problems for the majority of our players, we are aware that it has caused a couple of issues for some of you.
    If you’re experiencing any of the below, please don’t panic! Our development team are hard at work investigating these issues and you can help us help you by providing us with additional info. As soon as we have an update to share, we’ll let you guys know…

    PLEASE BE AWARE!
    When users start the game for the first time after the update the savefiles are being converted to a new format, this could take a while on low end PCs. When the game crashes during this phase or the user manually cancels the progress as they believe the game may not be responding, there is a chance that the savefiles may corrupt!

    KNOWN ISSUES…

    DELETED CHARACTER / WORLD
    For all of you who encounter a deleted character / world please report to us and attach your full savegame folder to it. Even when we are in Early Access there should be no deleted saves at all. It has to be a bug and we want to find out what went wrong there. You have to pack your savefolder in order to attach it to a bug.

    The Portal Knights save-game can be found locally on your hard drive. By default the location should be: C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\portal_knights This path may vary for different languages! It is the standard path used by Windows games.

    BLACKSCREEN ISSUE
    All of you who encounter the blackscreen issue, it’s right, it should be fine after waiting for a little time until the logos come up. This should only be the case for the first time you start the game after the update.
    When the game stops responding in any case please report us a bug and attach your portal_knights.log file and full savegame folder to it. You have to pack the files in order to attach it to a bug.

    In order to find the portal_knights.log you have to navigate to your local game files. Please follow the steps below: 1. Right-click on Portal Knights in your Steam library 2. Select “Properties” 3. Select the “Local Files” tab 4. Click on the “Browse Local Files” button

    CONSTRUCTION BENCH
    We’re aware of an issue with the Construction Bench and our development team are working hard to fix it! As soon as we have more info to share we’ll let you know.

    Hmmmmm… the black screen issue seems to continue forever on my system (wich is perfectly fine spec wise: i7-6700K GTX980ti). Every time I launch the game, it take’s 10+ minutes for it to launch. Do you guys have an eta for the next update that should fix this (or solutions) ? Still love the game even with this problem. Thanks!
